CARROLLTON, TX, July 23, 2024 (GLOB) — It has been 26 days since The Debate and President Biden announced he would not seek re-election this past Sunday. How we got here should be scrutinized very closely. Any analysis must take into account the complicity and duplicity of those trying to foist off on the American people what I can only think of as a con job. Are we as a people as upset as we should be at this attempt to dupe us all?
And yet, we are all complicit. The reality was there to be seen and heard by those with eyes to see and ears to hear.
I am reviewing some articles I wrote that may seem prophetic in retrospect. Except they are not prophetic, they are merely observant.
On February 29, 2024 I penned an article curious about the Democrat Political Machine and what I perceived to be an example of The March of Folly.
That article had a link to a spoof of Biden from an ally that I characterized as mocking the handicapped. It was that uncomfortable.
That skit from an Italian comedy show was posted to YouTube on February 26, 2024. But it followed skits from a Saudi Arabian show mocking Biden (and Harris) in 2022 and 2023. Think about that for a moment please. For 2 years Biden’s mental competency has been a global topic of derision.
The willingness of the Democratic Party Machine to march into folly made me wonder why, but even more mysterious to me was how? How could they continue, and how did they think they could pull it off?
This led to my posting a riff on the Emperor’s New Clothes that I titled The Emperor’s New Brain.
If you have not read the story by Hans Christian Anderson, well, please do, and then take a hard look at both political machines. And consider that this was written in Denmark 187 years ago. Isn’t that enough time to learn something about hubris and power? And the literal march to folly?
I think it is time to face the reality that the Democratic Party Machine was attempting to fool all the people all the time. Oddly, even Biden seemed to acknowledge this in his State of the Union address in March:
“Good evening. Good evening. If I were smart, I’d go home now.” (Cue supportive laughter.)
Wow.
Which bring me back to The Debate. The Democrats asked for this debate and they set the parameters and conditions. I can’t help but think of this scene from the movie “Reacher”
That’s pretty much how The Debate went. And yet, post debate, ministers continued trying to convince us that the emperor had clothes on. And that he had a brain that was functioning at a high level.
It could not last. The immense folly of putting on this farcical debate had an inevitable end.
But they tried!
They tried. They really tried.
Two competing thoughts struggled for supremacy in my beleaguered brain during and after The Debate.
Our enemies in the world are watching this.
Who is running the country?
It kind of freaked me out. I’m still kind of freaked out.
Lest you think that I am a Trumper - I’m not. I will point you to my article on a weaponized Trump written in December of 2023. I made this comment:
I recall vividly my dismay when the candidates were Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton. I could not believe that the best this country had to offer were two cartoon caricatures. I voted for Trump because no way in hell could I support Hillary. And, Biden? Come on now, are we living in a mashup of Beavis and Butthead and Dumb and Dumber?
Jon Stewart expresses my dismay perfectly:
For goodness sake people, let’s learn from this. Expect more. Expect better.
“It is not in the nature of politics that the best men should be elected. The best men do not want to govern their fellow man.” 𝘎𝘦𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘤𝘋𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭𝘥.
More often than not, it’s what “news” people decide we don’t need to know that’s the issue.
1) Our enemies in the world are watching this.
2) Who is running the country?
Precisely what I was thinking. I'm a bit nervous...
