So, there is this Bible verse
We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.
WASHINGTON, DC (GLOB) - While I appreciate that there is a perverse pleasure in beating a man when he’s down, etc…
For those of us with kids, it would be worthwhile to ask yourself what you would do for your kids. And for anyone that has had or has lost a kid with a drug problem, you know better than most that drugs are the wild-card over which you have precious little control. If you haven’t lived it, then you probably cannot understand how in one family you can have a dramatic success story, some regular folk, and a strung out drug addict, all from the same parents, all with supposedly the same resources and advantage. Drugs introduce chaos that by definition is unpredictable. If you haven’t seen it, you just don’t know.
So, how about we wish this man well, and pray he lives up to his promise. Perhaps he can become a force for good. We have saints that started from worse.
Maybe it is not as momentarily fun to wish someone well, but, give it a try, won’t you?
I do appreciate that viewpoint. In the end, it's about a father and son. My wish? That Biden hadn't old a boldface lie, and maybe hinted at revisiting the issue at a later date. Also, Wikipedia says this: "Limitations. Federal pardons issued by the president apply only to federal offenses; they do not apply to state or local offenses or private civil offenses. Federal pardons also do not apply to cases of impeachment. Pardons for state crimes are handled by governors or a state pardon board." So... ok?
Thanks Beauregard! Also, God allows the devils to hold our feet to the fire for our own perfecting.
